I will be eternally grateful if someone does fanfic/art/ANYTHING about Miranda and her ex-Cerberus colleagues out for vigilante justice a la Inglorious Basterds as was implied in that email from Liara’s terminal.
Thank you for your consideration.
start of something like that :) http://vierna-drottingu.deviantart.com/art/Loose-ends-01-299323256
Within five minutes of Mass Effect 2, I had made up my mind that she was one of ‘those’ characters—just another overdone femme fatale with an intimidating combat record and form-fitting clothes. I was already more than a little irritated after witnessing her shoot Wilson with almost no evidence, and my general disgruntlement was not helped in the slightest during the deeply personal interrogation that followed soon after. To my dismay, her status as a squadmate was soon confirmed, leaving me with no choice but to take her along on the first few missions until I recruited a suitable replacement. I fully expected to develop a sort of loathing for Miranda, who was at the time both a symbol of manufactured perfection and a Cerberus puppet sent to shadow my every move. As it turned out, she didn’t just break my expectations—she shattered them into a million tiny fragments and tossed them out of airlock. If I could have had a handful of credits for every time she made me smile and think “Boy, was I wrong”, I would have been able to personally rebuild the Normandy.
So this post is the first of a series of character explications. But more than that, it is an ode of sorts to one of the most fascinating characters I have ever encountered in electronic media. Welcome Miranda Lawson: genetically tailored biotic master, valued agent of the most secretive agency in the galaxy, rebel child, ice queen, victim to her own expectations—-and best friend.
